Facts on Coronavirus outbreak in China

The virus so far has claimed more than 50 lives with over a thousand more said to be infected in Wuhan, China.

The virus, first reported to the World Health Organisation in December has seen China cancelling plans to celebrate their Lunar New Year and closing off hotel bookings and international travel for it’s citizens.

The overly populated country is also in the process of building a hospital within six days to carter for those infected with the virus.

Cases of the virus having spread in some other countries have been reported with the list of the countries so far being Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, Vietnam and France.

According to The Herald two days ago, 22 Zimbabweans who had landed in Zimbabwe from Wuhan were under surveillance for symptoms of the virus.
